Bizarre episodes of top American politicians falling asleep or stroking out are becoming commonplace

Setting all partisanship aside, what kind of a dystopia are we living in that scenes like these are now a regular occurrence? I’ve never known a time in my life where so many senior elected officials were of such advanced age or otherwise cognitively impaired that this kind of thing happened regularly. These are United States senators and the President of the United States. What does it say about the state of our political system that our ruling class have one foot on Capitol Hill and the other in a wax museum?
